Triangle Stripes
46" x 58"
2014
Pattern with variation: the overall pattern is a simple repeat of large triangles. A stripe on the side of the downward pointing large triangles is pieced together with smaller triangles and a trapezoid. Together, the stripes align down the quilt on angle from top to bottom. Color placement of the five fabrics varies creating a sense of difference through the repetition. The linen creates breathing spaces, while the colorful quilting cotton boldly pushes forward in view.
